The challenge
Mobile Corner sells mobile spare parts and accessories both wholesale and retail, from shops in Kandy and Colombo. The category is crowded and, visually, almost everyone in it looks the same — a market where the shop next door has a banner in the same blue with the same stock photos. The business needed an identity that would read as a real brand rather than a stall, work at the size of a shopfront sign and at the size of a social ad, and carry the same weight to a trade buyer ordering in bulk as to a walk-in customer buying one charger.
The approach
The mark solves it with a single idea: an M and a C locked together inside the outline of a phone, so the monogram reads as both the initials and the product. It holds up as a standalone icon at app-tile size and extends into a full lockup where there's room. A tight two-colour palette — deep navy and an electric blue — keeps it legible reversed out on a lit shopfront, printed on a card, or compressed into a social feed. From there I built out the applications the business actually uses day to day: signage, banners, business cards, a wall calendar for trade customers, and social templates for both retail and wholesale campaigns.
What changed
- 01A monogram that doubles as the product — M and C locked inside a phone outline
- 02Works from app-tile size up to illuminated shopfront signage without redrawing
- 03Two-colour palette that stays legible reversed out, in print and on screen
- 04Applications delivered across signage, print, outdoor and social
- 05One identity serving both wholesale trade buyers and retail walk-ins
